n Engineering Inc. was retained in 2013 to deliver engineering services for the development of a self-storage facility expansion and a new office building on a 2.97-acre site in Mississauga, Ontario. The scope of work included site grading and servicing, storm water management plan, entrance design, and construction review.
Located within a busy industrial corridor near Highway 401, the project aimed to increase storage capacity while introducing a complementary office component. A key challenge involved managing a 1.5 m elevation difference between Derry Road and Matheson Boulevard. n Engineering Inc. developed an efficient and innovative grading and drainage solution that ensured a seamless and unobstructed driving surface across the site, while meeting the City of Mississauga’s requirements.
n Engineering Inc.’s affiliate, n Architecture Inc., supported the project through the Site Plan Approval and Building Permit stages. Both teams collaborated closely to secure approvals for site servicing and grading, ensuring consistency with the overall design intent.
Construction commenced in May 2021, with n Engineering Inc. conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, maintain safety standards, and document completed work along with upcoming construction activities. The project was successfully completed in October 2022.
