Project : Convention Centre Queen’s Manor | Brampton
Address : 2 Auction Lane, Brampton, Ontario
Project Commissioned in : 2015
Architect : n Architecture Inc.
Status : Construction completed as of December, 2021
n Engineering Inc was retained in 2019 to provide civil engineering services for the development of a convention centre on a 3.08-acre site located at the intersection of Queen Street East and Auction Lane in Brampton. The project was designed to accommodate conference and social gathering events, creating a versatile facility that supports both business functions and community gatherings.
The scope of civil work included site grading and servicing, stormwater management plan, entrance design, and construction review. A key challenge involved addressing shallow groundwater conditions and the shallow invert of the storm sewer, particularly due to the large parking area and site servicing requirements. Careful coordination and innovative engineering solutions were required to ensure effective drainage and long-term site performance.
n Engineering Inc.’s affiliate, n Architecture Inc., supported the project through the Site Plan Approval and Building Permit stages. Both teams worked closely to secure approvals for site servicing and grading while maintaining alignment with the overall design intent. Construction commenced in March 2019, with n Engineering Inc. conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, maintain safety standards, and document completed work along with upcoming construction activities. The project was successfully completed in December 2021.
n Engineering Inc. is a progressive civil and traffic engineering firm based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
