In 2016, n Engineering Inc. was engaged to provide civil engineering services for a new McDonald’s restaurant in Belleville, Ontario. The scope of work included site grading, site servicing, erosion and sediment control design, stormwater management, ditch, entrance, and culvert design, as well as construction review for the 1.26-acre site.
The site, located near Highway 401 and surrounded by a gas station, hotel, and trucking businesses, was expected to accommodate high traffic volumes from both highway users and nearby hotel guests.
At the same time, n Architecture Inc. supported the Site Plan Approval process, which required relocating an existing right-of-way easement. Both teams collaborated to establish a new easement connecting the neighbouring motel and gas station properties and to create a new sewer easement tied into the adjacent water and sewer infrastructure.
Construction began in 2022, with n Engineering Inc. conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety, and document completed work and next steps. The project was completed successfully in July 2023.
