n Engineering Inc. was retained in 2013 to provide civil engineering services for the development of a gas station and convenience store on a 0.85-acre site in Georgetown, Ontario. The scope of work included site grading and servicing, stormwater management design, entrance design, and construction review.
n Engineering Inc. became involved in the project prior to the construction phase. Following municipal inspections, the Town of Halton Hills identified a number of deficiencies related to the stormwater management infrastructure. A key challenge was addressing and rectifying these deficiencies while coordinating closely with the contractor to minimize impacts on the construction schedule and ensure compliance with municipal requirements. Through a collaborative and proactive approach, n Engineering Inc. developed efficient grading and drainage solutions that resolved the identified issues while providing a seamless and unobstructed driving surface throughout the site.
n Engineering Inc.’s affiliate, n Architecture Inc., supported the project through the Site Plan Approval and Building Permit stages. Both teams worked closely together to secure approvals for site servicing and grading while maintaining consistency with the overall design intent.
Construction commenced in 2017, with n Engineering Inc. providing regular construction review services, including site inspections, progress monitoring, and coordination with the project team to ensure quality control and compliance throughout the construction process. The project was successfully completed in 2018.
